Two athletes from the Wado Joaquim Salgueiro Karate School in Castelo Branco will participate in the 14th Open Turin Cup International Karate, which takes place on September 5th in Turin, Italy. The young athletes José Pinto and Guilherme Salgueiro represent the city of Castelo Branco in the Cadets category, in Kumite, following the regulations of the World Karate Federation. Guilherme Salgueiro competes in the weight category under 63 kilograms, while José Pinto competes in the weight category under 70 kilograms.

The Turin tournament brings together hundreds of competitors from Italian clubs and foreign delegations, holding particular relevance for the tactical preparation of the Portuguese athletes. Both arrive in Italy after a very positive sporting season in terms of performance, with results obtained on previous stages that support the expectations of the Beirão technical team.

The trip to Italy is part of the Wado Joaquim Salgueiro Karate School's continued commitment to the sports training of its athletes. The Wado Karate Association of Castelo Branco actively supports the participation of its members abroad, considering regular presence on international stages essential for the individual progress of young athletes and direct confrontation with experienced rivals.

The association's international calendar remains active until the end of the year, with planned participation in the Youth League in Mexico, the Lion Cup in Luxembourg, and a Youth League stage in Venice, Italy, during the month of December. The executive and technical structure reaffirms its commitment to projecting the name of Castelo Branco beyond borders.
