The 2026 elections in Brazil will allow voters to choose representatives for five positions: state deputies, federal deputies, senators, governors, and President of the Republic. The first round is scheduled for October 4, when all these positions will be decided.
If no presidential or state government candidate obtains more than 50% of valid votes in the first round, a second round will be necessary. The date scheduled for this possible second vote is October 25. Blank and null votes are not counted for the purpose of calculating the required percentage.
The electoral calendar also establishes other important dates. The free campaign airtime on radio and television runs from August 28 to October 1. As of September 19, the arrest of candidates is prohibited, and between September 29 and October 6, the arrest of voters is also prohibited.
