Already? Sampaoli is fired from Argentine team after just one win in seven games

Jorge Sampaoli was released from his position as head coach of Talleres de Córdoba this Sunday, after a series of negative results in the first seven matches of the Argentine Clausura Tournament. The club announced the contract termination one day after the 0-0 draw against Central Córdoba, a home game where fans expressed dissatisfaction by chanting "get out everyone!" as the players left the field.

The former coach of the Chile and Argentina national teams, as well as clubs such as Santos, Flamengo, and Atlético-MG, achieved only one victory in the seven games he managed Talleres. The team currently sits at the bottom of Group A of the tournament, with just five points earned.

This was Sampaoli's first experience as a professional head coach in Argentine football. During his tenure, the performance fell far short of expectations, which ultimately resulted in his dismissal following the latest negative result. The club has not yet announced a replacement for the coaching position.
