The Catalan driver achieved this feat after finishing in tenth place in the first race at the Milwaukee oval. With this fifth Astor Cup, Palou consolidates himself as a legend of motorsport in the United States.
With this fifth title, Álex Palou established himself as the third most decorated driver in the history of IndyCar, standing only behind Scott Dixon, who has six titles, and AJ Foyt, who holds seven championships.
