After Flavio Bolsonaro's dinner with financial market names on Thursday in São Paulo, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva called a restricted group of PIB representatives for a meeting on this Monday in Brasília. Among those invited are brothers Joesley and Wesley Batista, from holding company J&F, José Seripieri Júnior, owner of Ami, and Rubens Ometto, from Cosan.
The initial idea was to hold the dinner at the Alvorada Palace, but campaign members are looking for another location to avoid the risk of electoral complaints by opponents, who could accuse the use of public property for campaign activity.
The meeting had been scheduled days ago, and therefore campaign members deny that the dinner was organized as a response to Flavio Bolsonaro's meeting with Faria Lima representatives.
Lula has been trying to contain a climate of criticism from businessmen, bankers and economists about his economic policy.
