A new association called Espólio Fabião was founded in Leiria with the objective of giving life to thousands of images and awakening memories through its photographic collection. The association aims to value, study, and disseminate a vast set of visual materials.
The collection is composed of approximately 250 thousand photographic films that will be the subject of work by the association. This archive represents an important visual archive that can be explored and shared with the community.
The president of the association, Sara Fabião, explained the mission of the project, stating that the objective is to allow people to be able to meet again with these images and with the stories they tell. This desire to reconnect images and memories is at the center of the association's activity.
The project thus emerges in Leiria as an initiative to preserve and make known a valuable photographic collection, opening the way for the public to access and revisit the stories captured in these photographs over time.
