Three Moroccans arrested in Ceuta for attack with corrosive liquid against military personnel

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General30 August 2026 at 21:47

The Guardia Civil arrested three Moroccan citizens in Ceuta this Sunday for their involvement in an attack with bottles loaded with corrosive liquid against a patrol of the Spanish Armed Forces.

The three individuals were arrested by the Guardia Civil in the Spanish city of Ceuta, which borders Morocco. The authorities did not reveal further details about the circumstances of the arrest.

The attack involved throwing bottles containing corrosive liquid at the military personnel in the patrol. Despite the severity of the method used, none of the Armed Forces members were injured.

This incident occurs in the context of border tensions in the Ceuta region, where Spanish authorities regularly face irregular entry attempts by migrants coming from Moroccan territory.
