Diesel discount in Spain rises to 20 cents/liter from Tuesday

Correio da Manhã30 August 2026 at 20:36

Spain will increase the diesel discount to 20 cents per liter from Tuesday.

This increase in the diesel discount comes at a time when fuel prices continue to be a concern for Spanish consumers.

Conversely, the discount applied to the gasoline tax will be reduced. The discount that was 10 cents per liter in August drops to 5 cents per liter in September.

This measure reflects a differentiated strategy by the Spanish government to support consumers, providing greater incentive to purchase diesel over gasoline through more generous discounts.
