A 32-year-old woman and her 9-year-old daughter died on Sunday afternoon in a fire in a bar in the town of Cedrillas, in the province of Teruel. The fire broke out in the 'Cedrún' bar and also spread to a dwelling located exactly above the hospitality establishment, although the exact location where the two victims were found has not yet been clarified.
A third person was injured due to possible smoke intoxication, and it was necessary to evacuate her from the first floor of the same building. The alert was received by the authorities around 5:30 PM, triggering an emergency operation at the scene.
The authorities are investigating the circumstances that caused the fire and the reasons why the two victims were unable to escape the flames. The Cedrún bar, which was quite popular locally, was completely destroyed by the flames, as was part of the structure of the building where it was located.
