Aljustrelense, Portel and Serpa advance in the main cup competition

The 1st eliminator of the Portuguese Cup was marked by distinct results for Alentejo clubs. Aljustrelense, Portel and Serpa secured qualification for the next phase of the competition, while five other teams from the region were eliminated.

Viana do Alentejo, Os Gavionenses, Castrense, Portalegrense and Grandolense could not get past this round of the main cup competition in Portuguese football and were knocked out.

The most expressive result of the round belonged to GD Portel, who traveled to GD Messejanense's ground and achieved an emphatic thrashing, winning 0-8.

With this convincing victory, the Portel side guarantees passage to the 2nd eliminator of the Portuguese Cup.
