A first-level alert was triggered for a wildfire in the area of São João das Lampas, in the municipality of Sintra, district of Lisbon. The first alert dispatch indicates a situation that requires immediate mobilization of firefighting resources.
Authorities mobilized a total of 28 operatives to the fire location. A total of 5 ground vehicles were also deployed for firefighting and containment operations.
In addition to ground resources, an aerial resource was also activated to support firefighting operations. This type of resource is frequently used in wildfires for direct attack on flames and logistical support to teams on the ground.
