The Regional Government of the Azores approved the allocation of three million euros to farmers, a measure that had been announced in July by the Government of the Republic. The subsidies are funded by transfers made by the Treasury and Finance Entity, under Order No. 9825/2026, published on July 27. The budget limit defined for this measure is exactly three million euros. This decision by the regional executive comes following the announcement made previously by the central government to support the Azorean agricultural sector.
