Benfica's women's football team continued their preparation for the new season with a 3-1 victory against Racing Power, in a friendly match played this Sunday at Pitch No. 7 of Benfica Campus. The result allowed the Eagles to add another victory in the pre-season phase.
The goals were scored by Carolina Tristão, Lúcia Alves and Froya Dorsin, the latter a reinforcement from PSG who stood out in the match. The team started strong and built the advantage during the first half, with Carolina Tristão opening the scoring and Lúcia Alves extending to 2-0.
Racing Power managed to reduce the deficit before halftime, setting the 2-1 score that took the teams to the break with only one goal difference. In the second half, Benfica managed to recover greater comfort in the score.
Froya Dorsin, a reinforcement from PSG, scored the Eagles' third goal and set the final result of 3-1. Coach Ivan Baptista presented a starting eleven composed of Lena Pauels, Catarina Amado, Tinkara Testen, Diana Gomes, Marit Lund, Pauleta, Carolina Tristão, Caroline Moller, Lúcia Alves, Nycole Raysla and Froya Dorsin.
