A study analyzed aggregated and anonymous parking data in Spain to identify six distinct driver profiles. The analysis was based on the frequency of car use, the days of the week and the times when vehicles were parked.
The identified profiles reveal different mobility patterns among Spanish drivers. The way each person parks their vehicle was correlated with their general travel habits.
The researchers concluded that parking behavior can reveal deeper information about mobility habits than initially thought. This type of analysis allows for a better understanding of how Spaniards use their car in their daily lives.
