More than 30 new specialist doctors are arriving in the state of Piauí through the Mais Médicos Program, linked to the Unified Health System (SUS). The information was不全 reported by state health agencies.
The professionals will be distributed between the capital Teresina and three other municipalities in the interior of the state. This expansion represents a significant reinforcement in the offer of specialized medical services for the population of Piauí.
With the arrival of these new professionals, the total number of specialists participating in the program in the state will reach 146 doctors. The program aims to expand the population's access to specialized care, especially in regions more distant from the capital.
The initiative is part of the federal and state government's efforts to strengthen the public health system in Piauí, which has historically faced challenges in offering specialized professionals in various areas of the state's interior.
