Prime Minister Luís Montenegro made a mea culpa regarding the exams case, lamenting the disruption the situation caused. During his speech, he thanked the school community for their support during the difficult period.
In Castelo de Vide, Montenegro announced the creation of a new university in the region, called University of Bragança and North Interior. This measure comes as part of a strategy to enhance the northern interior of the country.
The Prime Minister also announced initiatives to enhance the role of school directors, recognizing their fundamental role in school management and the implementation of educational policies.
Montenegro's statements come at a time of heightened attention on the management of Portugal's education sector, following the controversies related to the organization of national exams.
