Women represent only 19.6% of billionaires in Brazil, according to the Forbes Brazilian Billionaires 2026 ranking. Of the 255 positions on the list, 50 are occupied by women, meaning that one in five people with fortunes above R$ 1 billion in the country is a woman. The combined wealth of Brazilian billionaire women reaches R$ 329.17 billion.
Although the Brazilian percentage is small, it exceeds the global average, where female presence among billionaires accounts for only 14%. However, this lead does not represent recent progress, as the proportion has been practically frozen for five years, fluctuating between 19% and 20%.
In absolute numbers, the group of billionaire women has shrunk. The previous edition of the ranking had 60 women, ten more than now. When the criterion shifts from the number of names to wealth, the scenario becomes even more unfavorable: the R$ 329.17 billion of billionaire women represents about 17.7% of the total wealth on the list, which reaches R$ 1.86 trillion.
