A colossal eating challenge is stirring up the Anchor Inn pub, located in Sutton Bridge, England. Since late July, the establishment has been offering customers a gigantic tower filled with beef, chicken, cheese, bacon and onion rings, accompanied by pulled pork, fries and coleslaw. The meal contains an impressive 5,000 calories, double the daily recommended intake for an adult man, at the price of £39.95, equivalent to approximately R$280.

The challenge consists of consuming all this food within a 1-hour time limit. So far, no participant has managed to complete the mission. Whoever manages to finish the meal within the time limit doesn't pay the bill and also receives an accumulated prize of £100, approximately R$700. With each failed attempt, the pub management adds £5 to the prize value.

The event has become a major attraction in the locality, turning each attempt into a true spectacle for the locals. To participate in the challenge, it is necessary to notify the establishment in advance. The challenge is considered extremely risky and is not recommended for people with heart problems or health conditions that contraindicate the ingestion of large amounts of food in a short time.

Russia promises more attacks against Ukrainian energy infrastructures

Russia announced on Sunday, August 30, that it is preparing "massive attacks" against Ukraine's energy sector infrastructures, in response to Kiev's continued attacks on civilian facilities and the Russian oil complex. During last winter, Moscow had already devastated Ukraine's energy sector, leaving millions of people without electricity and heating. Ceasefire negotiations remain stalled since the United States became involved in the war against Iran, in February, with contacts between Russians and Ukrainians limited to the exchange of war prisoners and soldiers' bodies.
