The Reporter SÁBADO program infiltrated the catacombs of the Mouraria commercial center, revealing an underground world of shady businesses. The investigation discovered that this space is dominated by various immigrant communities that, in certain cases, operate outside the law.

According to the investigation, there are no longer any Portuguese merchants in the Mouraria commercial space. Commercial activity in the underground functions discreetly, without the presence of Portuguese sellers.

At the corner of Rua da Palma with Rua Fernandes da Fonseca, a discreet entrance with access to the underground was identified. This access is already beginning to be the subject of negative conversations abroad, according to the investigation.
