October 15 marks the International Day of Rural Women and corresponds to the last day of the project's internal work. On October 16, the National Meeting will take place, bringing together women, specialists and political decision-makers to discuss the main challenges and opportunities of rural territories.

The program includes the presentation of proposals to address problems identified by rural women, panels dedicated to public policies, women's participation, sustainability and valorization of rural resources, as well as a project exhibition. The meeting will also feature a networking lunch aimed at promoting contact and creating new networks among participants.

Russia promises more attacks against Ukrainian energy infrastructures

Russia announced on Sunday, August 30, that it is preparing "massive attacks" against Ukraine's energy sector infrastructures, in response to Kiev's continued attacks on civilian facilities and the Russian oil complex. During last winter, Moscow had already devastated Ukraine's energy sector, leaving millions of people without electricity and heating. Ceasefire negotiations remain stalled since the United States became involved in the war against Iran, in February, with contacts between Russians and Ukrainians limited to the exchange of war prisoners and soldiers' bodies.
