The demarcated region of green wine faces significant changes in harvest patterns, which occur increasingly early. This trend is not exclusive to this region, being also observed in other wine-producing areas.
The advancement of the harvest date is related to climate changes affecting the ripening cycle of grapes. Weather conditions have caused changes in traditional agricultural calendars.
Green wine production continues to be an important economic activity in the demarcated region, which covers several sub-regions of Minho. However, the necessary adaptations to respond to these changes represent challenges for local producers.
