Camacha eliminates Machico on penalties and advances in the Portuguese Cup

Camacha advances to the second round of the 2026/2027 Portuguese Cup by eliminating Machico through a penalty shootout. The Madeiran derby ended 2-2 after 120 minutes of play, which forced the decision to penalties.

In the match played this Sunday, Camacha secured qualification through the penalty shootout, thus overcoming rival Machico.

Roger Almeida scored from a penalty during the match, contributing to the final 2-2 result that required the penalty shootout.

This victory allows Camacha to advance in the Portuguese Cup competition, while Machico is eliminated from this edition of the tournament.
