Marco Silva and the first home game in Liga I with fans at the Luz: "We're almost in September..."

SAPO Notícias30 August 2026 at 13:43

Marco Silva, Benfica's coach, spoke in the preview of Benfica's home match against Estoril, a game scheduled for 8:15 PM on Monday and related to the fourth round of Liga I. The match marks the first home game of the season with fans at the Estádio da Luz.

The Eagles' coach reacted to the anticipation around this match, stating that "we're almost in September," at a time when fans will finally be able to watch a game of the team at their stadium.

Benfica thus faces Estoril in a game that represents a symbolic milestone for the fans, who return to the Luz after a period without being able to attend the matches of the team coached by Marco Silva in person.

This is the fourth round of Liga I, a competition in which Benfica seeks to add another home victory against Estoril, a team that also competes in the elite of Portuguese football this season.
