The CM special envoy to Nepal, Diogo Carreira, followed the operation of Nepalese authorities trying to find and recover a bank vault that was flooded by mud after a flood that recently affected the country. The operation was filmed by the Portuguese television team.
The CMTV journalist detailed the work of authorities on site, where the mud and debris from the destroyed bank significantly complicate the recovery of the vault and the money it contained.
The situation generated controversy among the local population, with Diogo Carreira reporting that some people question the authorities' priority order. According to the special envoy, there are people asking: "Why is it the money first and not the people?".
The flood that hit Nepal destroyed various infrastructures in the region, including the bank whose vault is being searched for. The local authorities have not yet commented on the priority order in the rescue.
