A woman from Cape Verde gave birth at Lisbon Airport, transforming a common arrival into an extraordinary moment that surprised the passengers present at the location. The birth occurred unexpectedly, without prior warning, during what would have been a routine arrival at the terminal. The authorities and teams present at the airport had to act quickly to ensure the safety of the mother and baby. After the incident, it was confirmed that both the mother and baby are in good health.

Susana Cristeta, at 22 years old, suffered a serious accident at a water park in the Algarve in the mid-90s, when she was going down a slide and two people crashed into her, causing a spinal injury that left her tetraplegic with a prognosis of being in a wheelchair. Conscious throughout the incident, she was taken to Portimão Hospital and later transferred by helicopter to Lisbon, where she learned the extent of the injury. After treatments, physiotherapy, and surgery to reposition the displaced vertebrae, Susana refused to accept the prognosis and managed to walk again about three months later, in a recovery process she decided to share publicly.
