Alonso López returned to victory this past Sunday at MotorLand, Aragón, in a race that the Madrid rider will certainly never forget. The 23-year-old rider achieved this special victory after a difficult recovery period and two years without winning any race.
López had returned to competition just three weeks ago, at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, after suffering an injury to his right hand that kept him off the tracks for some time. The victory in Aragón thus represents a moment of redemption and affirmation in his return to competitive form.
On the podium he was accompanied by two young riders who are about to reach MotoGP: Izan Guevara, who finished in second place, and David Alonso, who completed the podium in third position. Both are considered promises of Spanish and world motorcycling.
