Tadej Pogacar, rider from the UAE Emirates team, published this Sunday an image on Instagram showing himself for the first time in the hospital after the serious fall he suffered during the Vuelta a España. The fall occurred during the competition and resulted in his withdrawal from the race.
The Slovenian cyclist, one of the favorites for the overall victory at the Vuelta, suffered the accident during a stage of the race, forcing him to abandon the competition. The images shared on social media show his condition after the incident.
This is the first time Pogacar has shown himself publicly since he was transported to the hospital. The Instagram post comes as a way to update his followers on his health status after the scare at the Vuelta.
