Galatasaray made the signing of Rafael Leão official. The Turkish club announced the Portuguese forward in a deal that involved Sporting CP as the selling club.
Galatasaray revealed all the details of the transfer, including the amount paid to Sporting, in a rare gesture of transparency by Turkish clubs. The Istanbul club specified how much Sporting received for the sale of the player.
Rafael Leão's salary at the new club was described as "princely," referring to a high salary. The Portuguese winger thus leaves the lion emblem to head to the Turkish Super Lig.
With this signing, Galatasaray reinforces its attack with one of the most valuable players in Portuguese football, in a deal that moved significant funds between the two clubs.
