Flav Bolsonaro defends relaxing environmental rules for construction of resorts in Rio's Costa Verde

PL presidential candidate Flav Bolsonaro defended the relaxation of environmental rules to allow the construction of resorts and condominiums in the Costa Verde of the state of Rio de Janeiro. The presidential candidate campaigned in the city of Angra dos Reis this Saturday, participating in a motorcade and a procession with boats through the region.

The idea of transforming the Costa Verde, which concentrates areas of environmental preservation, into a tourist hub had already been mentioned earlier by former president Jair Bolsonaro, Flav Bolsonaro's father.

Flav Bolsonaro also criticized the cost of the Angra III nuclear power plant works, which have been dragging on since the 1980s without conclusion. According to him, the plant consumes almost one billion reais per year from public coffers, taxpayer resources.

The candidate promised to complete the Angra III works with private sector participation, seeking to reduce the impact on public spending.
