The leader of Left Bloc (BE), José Manuel Pureza, today considered the Constitutional Court (TC) decision on the return law as an "important setback". The party acknowledges the gravity of this judicial decision that invalidated part of the bill in question.
José Manuel Pureza assured that, despite the constitutional rejection, BE will maintain its position of political opposition to the return law. The party does not intend to back down from its contestation of the bill's content.
The Left Bloc leader clearly distinguished between the constitutional issue and the political issue, stating that the TC's decision is a matter of constitutional nature, not a political nature. This distinction suggests that, for BE, the political fight against the law will continue regardless of the court's rejection.
