Nepal appealed to the international community for support in the face of an emergency situation, requesting technical assistance, forensic resources and billions of dollars to deal with the crisis.

The Nepali government indicated that the main objective is to save as many lives as possible, acknowledging the significant limitations of its health capacities to preserve all recovered bodies.

The authorities admitted that the resources available in the country are insufficient to deal with the magnitude of the situation, making international community support necessary.
