A road collision between a light vehicle and a motorcycle occurred this morning on National Road 2 (EN2), at kilometre 609.064, in Ervidel, in the municipality of Aljustrel. The accident caused two seriously injured, who remain at the scene.
The alert was given at 11:04 and the incident mobilised 21 operatives, supported by five land resources and one aerial resource. The rescue operations involved the Firefighters, the National Institute of Emergency Medical (INEM) and the Republican National Guard (GNR).
The accident occurred on the stretch of EN2 between Corte Vicente Anes and Ervidel. Following the collision, traffic is cut in both directions while operations to assist the victims are underway.
Authorities are on site taking charge of the incident. Further information about the condition of the injured or the circumstances that led to the accident is not yet available.

O acidente ocorreu no troço da EN2 entre Corte Vicente Eanes e Ervidel.
Na sequência da colisão, o trânsito encontra-se cortado nos dois sentidos, enquanto decorrem as operações de socorro e assistência às vítimas.
Os dois feridos graves permanecem no local, não sendo ainda conhecidas informações adicionais sobre o seu estado de saúde ou sobre as circunstâncias que terão estado na origem do acidente.
As autoridades encontram-se no local a tomar conta da ocorrência.
