Contextile 2026 opens in Guimarães with the biggest edition ever

The CONTEXTILE – International Biennial of Contemporary Textile Art in Guimarães inaugurated its 8th edition on September 5, being considered the largest edition ever of the event. The biennial is presented under the theme "By a Thread" and brings together 53 works from 50 artists from 27 different countries. This edition represents a significant milestone in the history of the event, which has established itself as an international reference in the field of contemporary textile art. The complete program of the biennial includes exhibitions, installations and various activities that explore the boundaries between textile tradition and contemporary artistic innovation.
