Maricá receives 17th edition of March for Jesus this Saturday

The 17th edition of the March for Jesus takes place this Saturday in Maricá, in the Metropolitan Region of Rio, with the theme "The Power of Prayer". The event brings together faithful from different churches and denominations in a free program open to the entire population.

The gathering starts at 2 PM on Vereuador Francisco Sabino da Costa Avenue, near the DPO. After the gathering, the faithful will proceed in a walk to Orlando de Barros Pimentel Square, in the Center, where the main stage is located.

The initiative was developed by the Secretary of Religious Affairs, Citizenship and Family and by the Culture and Tourism Company of Maricá (MARÉ), bodies responsible for organizing the event.

The March for Jesus is part of the events calendar of Maricá and represents a moment of faith, unity and fellowship among various Christian denominations, being a celebration open to the public.

From Sapucaí to Macapá: Beija-Flor's battery director takes command of Piratão

Diego Oliveira, who has been working for ten years in Beija-Flor's battery, five as director, has just taken command of Piratão's battery, Piratas da Batucada samba school, in Macapá, Amapá.
