Maju Coutinho, a 48-year-old presenter, surprised fans by announcing she is pregnant with her first child. She revealed she will have a boy, who will be named Malik. The news generated great curiosity from the public about the journalist's personal life, who usually keeps her privacy protected from the spotlight.

The baby is the fruit of her marriage to Agostinho Paulo Moura, 61, with whom Maju has been together for almost 17 years. The couple kept the pregnancy secret for a considerable period before making the public announcement.

Agostinho is described as a discreet person, although he has a career linked to communication and the arts. He is a visual artist and advertising professional, with a degree in Philosophy from PUC-SP, and has participated in several exhibitions throughout the country.

On social media, specifically on Instagram, where he gathers about 8 thousand followers, Agostinho shares his paintings. In his works, he usually portrays Black people in scenes of everyday Brazilian life.

Everything is the same thing

This opinion article reflects on the growing inability to distinguish concepts and names, exemplified by a child who called a dolphin a "flamingo" and by a supermarket worker who confused ginger with eggplant. The author argues that this "vocabulary and cultural impoverishment" results from the decline in reading and interest, citing Irene Vallejo and Gregorio Luri to defend that reading strengthens language and that school failure is fundamentally a linguistic failure. It concludes that "it's the same thing" represents a closure into ignorance, where even distinct concepts are reduced to vaguely similar categories.
