The president of Chega, André Ventura, confirmed this Friday that the party will present a motion of no confidence against the Government if there is no resolution in the Luís Neves case. Ventura considered that Luís Neves is "dragging the country into the mud" and that action is necessary.
The far-right party will present the motion of no confidence on September 1st, a Tuesday. Ventura stated that Chega will "join the appeal of the President of the Republic" on this matter.
The statements were made on the sidelines of a visit to the Centro Social São João, in Coimbra. The Chega leader did not specify in detail what the concrete issue involving Luís Neves is, referring only to the "Luís Neves case" as the reason for the motion.
