Government safeguards land for public housing in Funchal

The Regional Government of Madeira, led by the PSD/CDS-PP coalition, published today in the Official Gazette a regulatory decree that establishes preventive measures to protect land intended for the construction of affordable public housing in Funchal.

The decree aims to safeguard an area in the Madeiran capital for future construction of public housing, ensuring that the land is not diverted to other purposes before the project is carried out.

The publication in the Official Gazette gives official status to the preventive measures, which remain in force while the necessary procedures for the realization of the housing projects in the region are being carried out.
