Nepal raises to 538 the number of bodies found after a devastating flash flood hit on Wednesday the border between Nepal and China. Nepali authorities continue search and rescue operations after the catastrophe.
On the Chinese side of the border, in Tibet, authorities confirmed five dead. The natural disaster hit both sides of the border, causing fatalities in both territories.
The flash flood occurred on Wednesday and caused significant destruction in the mountainous region separating the two countries. The total death toll now exceeds 540 people, combining 538 on the Nepali side and 5 on the Chinese side.
