The Municipality of Tábua approved the allocation of a global financial support of 150 thousand euros to the two Humanitarian Associations of Volunteer Firefighters of the municipality. The amount will be divided in equal parts, with 75 thousand euros for each association.

The subsidy is intended exclusively for the acquisition of two Forest Firefighting Vehicles, commonly referred to as VFCI. This acquisition comes as a response to the operational needs of the fire brigades of the municipality.

The decision was made by the Municipal Executive during a Council Meeting, showing the commitment of the municipality with strengthening the response capacity in emergency situations, particularly regarding the rural fires that frequently affect the region.

This financial support is part of the municipality's strategy to strengthen the civil protection structures locally, ensuring that firefighters have adequate equipment for the performance of their prevention and firefighting duties.
