Region is allocating 241 new housing units for rental

The Autonomous Region of the Azores is allocating 241 new housing units for rental to Azorean families. This measure aims to support access to housing in the region.

The regulation of this measure was approved in 2025, establishing the conditions for making these housing units available to the local population.

Among the housing planned, new houses built on the island of São Jorge are included, which will directly benefit from this initiative.

In addition to the housing, São Jorge will also have the transfer of 10 fully serviced plots, expanding the options for access to housing on the island.
