Santiago do Cacém is one of the 19 municipalities covered by the nine competitions opened by the Institute for Housing and Urban Rehabilitation for the allocation of dwellings with affordable rents.

The competitions foresee the allocation, by draw, of 77 dwellings in total.

The competitions are managed by the Institute for Housing and Urban Rehabilitation, the entity responsible for housing policy in Portugal.
