The support of 10 cents per liter for agricultural diesel, announced by the Republic's Government until the end of 2026, will also be ensured for Azorean farmers. The information was advanced by the president of the Agricultural Federation of the Azores (FAA), Jorge Rita.
Jorge Rita announced this decision after a meeting with the regional secretary of Agriculture and Food, António Ventura. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Agricultural Federation of the Azores.
This financial support aims to compensate farmers for agricultural fuel costs, being a measure that will be in force until the end of 2026 and that now also covers the Autonomous Region of the Azores, benefiting local agricultural producers with the same conditions applied in mainland Portugal.
