Covilhã prepares to receive nearly 2,000 cyclists in the first edition of the event "1993 – À Conquista da Torre/Serra da Estrela Cycling Tourism Festival". The race takes place between Friday and Sunday, from September 18 to 20, and will place the city at the center of national cycling for three days.
The event is organized by the Municipality of Covilhã and aims to promote cycling tourism in Serra da Estrela, taking advantage of the region's geographical conditions.
With nearly 2,000 participants expected, the race represents a significant milestone for the municipality and for the Serra da Estrela region as a destination for sports and nature tourism.
