The II Partner Meeting of the Caminhos de Fátima took place in Mealhada, bringing together municipalities, associations and various entities interested in enhancing these religious routes. The main objective of the event was to evaluate the current state of the Caminhos de Fátima as a tourism product and define strategies for its future development.
During the meeting, participants discussed issues related to the promotion and enhancement of the routes leading to the Sanctuary of Fátima. This meeting takes place in the context of the growth of religious tourism in Portugal and the increasing importance that this segment represents for the local economies of the regions crossed by these paths.
The organization of the event featured the participation of several municipal councils that are part of the Caminhos de Fátima network. These local authorities play a fundamental role in the maintenance, signposting and promotion of the routes, working together to ensure a quality experience for pilgrims and tourists who travel these routes.
