The village of Pinheiro da Bemposta hosted during three days the 2026 edition of Bemposta Manuelina, an event that recreated the 16th century in the historic center. The organization invested around 32 thousand euros in this cultural and historical initiative.
The event transported participants to 1514, recreating Manueline-era settings with various characters and activities. Knights, troubadours, merchants and artisans were present throughout the three days of celebration.
The program included dances, camps and shows that animated the historic center during the entire event. The 2026 edition of Bemposta Manuelina maintained the tradition of bringing 16th-century history to the village's streets.
