The former priest being tried for fraud, rape and usurpation of functions will learn the verdict of the case on September 30 at the Vila Real Court. The information was confirmed by a judicial source.
The trial began on May 12 and has been proceeding behind closed doors. Today the final arguments of the case took place, with the panel of judges setting September 30 as the date for the reading of the verdict.
The former priest, who is over 80 years old, is accused by the Public Prosecutor's Office of one count of aggravated fraud and one count of usurpation of functions.
