A research team from the University of Coimbra developed and is testing a psychological intervention program aimed at women in menopause. The program, called Cuidar-ME – Self-care during Menopause: a psychological intervention, aims to address the physical and emotional challenges that accompany this transition phase in women's lives.
The main objective of the program is to help women better cope with the difficulties arising from menopause, offering self-care tools and psychological support during this period of changes in the female body.
The University of Coimbra is conducting tests with the program to evaluate its effectiveness among the women participating in this intervention. The results may contribute to improving the quality of life of women at this stage and inform future approaches in the psychological follow-up of menopause.
