The Federal Police managed to identify that Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Federal Court, was the interlocutor of messages sent by Daniel Vorcaro, former controller of Banco Master, even after they had been deleted. The conclusion was made possible through the crossing of data on the banker's cell phone, including screenshot timestamps, app opening records, WhatsApp sending logs and device contact data. Investigators concluded that texts written by the banker in a notes app were then sent to the magistrate.

The methodology used by the PF was detailed in a 218-page report. When questioned about the matter, Vorcaro confirmed that the interlocutor of the messages was Moraes, and not hacker Damian, as had initially been suggested.

Moraes himself challenged the Federal Police's conclusions on Tuesday, the day the investigation involving him was being judged. In a filing sent to the court president, Edson Fachin, the minister stated that the association of the message content to him is based on "mere assumption". In the same filing, Moraes argues that 47 of the 52 messages analyzed have no indication they were sent to him.
