Fenprof, the National Federation of Teachers, has been warning about difficulties in student placement, particularly in the Sintra area, where the demand for school places has exceeded the available spots in local schools.
The official emphasized that scientific evidence supports that class sizes under 30 students do not affect teaching quality, and pointed out that the placement issue for more than 700 students in the Sintra region should have been resolved last week.
