Balantuna defeated Estrelas Susanenses 4-0 in the Futsal Super Cup of the Porto Football Association, in a match held at the Pavilhão Municipal da Maia. All goals were scored by João Vitória from penalties, at 12', 13', 33' and 35' minutes, resulting in a final score of 4-0.
The match was marked by many fouls, which were reflected in the scoreboard. Balantuna, despite being from a lower division, showed more maturity and consolidated their collective processes. The team was pressing and aggressive, forcing Estrelas to resort to fouling to stop their attacks. Estrelas never lost sight of the opposing goal, but had difficulties linking play and developing dangerous attacks, also missing several goal-scoring opportunities.
The coaches of both teams commented on the result. Bruno Barbosa, from Balantuna, considered his team a deserved winner and highlighted that they are still implementing processes, but are on the right track. Miguel Marinho, from Estrelas Susanenses, considered the game balanced and explained that the result was due to the high number of fouls committed and the inability to finish the opportunities created. The article notes that Estrelas, for the third division national league, will likely need more work.
